DESCRIPTION:The workshop is part of an international research collaboratio
n in high‑performance computing (HPC) and artificial intelligence (AI)\,
involving leading American\, European\, and Japanese research institution
s in these areas. It is integrated into the series of workshops and initia
tives of the International Post‑Exascale (InPEx) Project.\n\nHolding thi
s workshop for the first time in Latin America positions Brazil at the for
efront of the international HPC and AI landscape.\n\nConsidering the devel
opment of the Brazilian Plan for AI (PBIA)\, it represents an opportunity
to place Brazil among the leading global centers in the field\, strengthen
ing cooperation with these international institutions and fostering collab
oration with partners across Latin America.\n\nThe main objective of the I
nPEx project is to coordinate global efforts in the exascale and post‑ex
ascale computing era\, focusing on:\n\n\n	Convergence of HPC and AI: Devel
opment of large language models (LLMs) for scientific use and evaluation o
f AI technologies on supercomputers.\n	Software Management: Creation of to
ols and methods for the management\, packaging\, and long‑term sustainab
 ility of large‑scale scientific software.\n	Co‑design: Collaboration a
mong hardware\, software\, and application developers to optimize performa
nce on future systems.\n	Data Management: Solutions for handling the massi
ve volumes of data generated by scientific experiments and large‑scale s
imulations.\n	Energy Sustainability: Research on the energy and environmen
tal impact of high‑performance computing systems.\n\n\nThe event aims to
bring together leading international scientists in HPC and to foster clos
er engagement between Brazilian researchers and this community. Its conten
t is intended to contribute to discussions on research infrastructure and
software stacks for the development of Artificial Intelligence in Brazil.\
